Gaming venues across Maryland recorded a 4.7% year-on-year decline in July 2026, generating $157.9m in combined slot and table game revenue. The total represents a $7.8m drop compared to the same month last year.
Slot machines accounted for $115.5m of the monthly total, while table games contributed $38.6m. State tax contributions reached $68.2m, marking a 3.5% decrease from the previous year. Of this amount, $50m was allocated to the Education Trust Fund.
Distribution and Individual Venue Performance
Remaining proceeds were distributed to local jurisdictions and communities ($8.4m), the state horse racing industry ($8m), and programs supporting small, minority- and women-owned businesses ($1.7m). MGM National Harbor led all locations with $60.2m in revenue, though it experienced a 12.2% annual decline.
